That's an excerpt from The University of Adelaide's "On Dit" July 24, 1969.
"the French calling it the "Neopolitan" disease, or the "Italian" disease, and the Italians, and later the English, the "French" disease. The most picturesque name on record was in the little province of Fiume, where it was called "Margaritizza", after the most popular prostitute."
Ahh the 60s, when the best things in life weren't just free but in their highest supply and with the most bonuses. "It spread like wildfire across Europe"...like a very sexy wildfire. I'm not going to be able to eat a Margherita pizza now without having the images below in my head.

'.....used to hang loose like sleeve of wizard.'
a salutary warning to all of us who are considering the illicit 'massage' industry. okay, just me.
Interesting linking Lachy. But are they all relevant?
Anyway, I followed the pizza link to digg and read every single post. I love the rich fertile manure of American culture that is digg. In particular, I was intrigued by mossman93, whose right-wing views were jarringly nutty.

Democrats are the most racist. They make special exceptions just for minorities. That's pretty racist if you ask me. The assume minorities can't do things on their own so they give them money, in the form of welfare, tax cuts, etc., which teaches them that they don't have to work. This puts minorities at an even steeper disadvantage.

Has anyone here actually seen the movie? Nothing he said was racist. Nothing! He never even mentions race. You all assume that any slave has to be a black person. You also assume that because he's from the South he is racist. I'm pretty sure that makes all of you prejudice. Actually, we don't know where he's from. Just because he goes to USC doesn't mean he's from South Carolina. Slavery has been around for thousands of years before Americans got into the business. And for most of those years slavery had nothing to do with race. Slaves were usually prisoners of war or just poor people. So when Mr. Seay says he wishes he had a slave, it doesn't mean he wants a black man to run his plow for him. I just means he wishes he had a person to do things for him without pay. i.e. cook, clean, drive, go to work for you...etc. That sounds pretty sweet to me. So basically what this boils down to is that all of you who judge Mr. Seay are NO WORSE THAN HE IS!!! You think all slaves are black and you think all Southerners are racist! And I've seen a lot of you mention how fat he is. Just replace "fat" with "black". It's the exact same principle. You're all bigots!!!

Q: "are they all relevant?"
A: No. Obscurity is my forte. As many links as possible for no apparent reason is a good idea in my opinion. It helps the bored 'surfer' get more out of Shakin' it Up.
mossman93- so I guess I'm "NO WORSE THAN HE IS!!"... does that mean I'm better than he is, I certainly hope so.
